About Fuzzy Wool Hat Publishing
Reviews
"Nick Woolsey's self-published Emails from (Over?) the Edge is
an unconventional, humorous and inspirational memoir about spiritual
travels across North America, punctuated with emails between the
narrator and his best friend."
BC Bookworld
"...Writing it, he was a mere twenty-five years old and initially,
I was somewhat dubious about relating to his journey, having visited
twenty-five some number of years ago. I happily discovered that
my doubts were quickly dispelled. There are books that help shape
our consciousness, facilitate a change in thinking and move us
from a state of inertia to action...

"I'd like to thank the author of this book for sending it to me.
Nick's written a book that's touching and endearing..."

"…I thoroughly enjoyed Woolsey's first novel... Some books
speak directly to a reader, and this is one that spoke directly
to me… He is a sympathetic and forthright voice during a time
when it seems like most twenty-somethings are publishing whiny
monologues about an excess of sex, drugs, and mental illness…
For his subject matter and in this era, his voice is right on…
In short, anyone should read this book, but particularly people
struggling with their lives, their futures, uncertainty, and general
doubt. Woolsey offers hope to those of us who think that we really
will spend our lives wandering from place to place, never quite
sure of where we're supposed to be or what we're supposed to be
doing… "

"
So what I'm getting at here is that it SANK IN, and
got to me in that way that only certain, really good books can.
The experience was, and I don't use the term lightly, cathartic.
At first I was afraid it would be too personal to have "mass
appeal." But as I kept reading, I realized that that is its
strength; you have a great, honest style, but its definitely accessible
to people who don't know you. It reminds me of the best folk songs,
that tricky shift from personal honesty to the universal... It
definitely resonated with me, and I think it would with a lot
of people, especially in our generation... It's sort of the Alchemist
meets Generation X meets Easy Rider - now if that ain't the Zeitgeist,
I don't know what is!"

"So nick, it is the first Saturday of October, and i just
finished reading your book. it was wonderful. i feel really good
right now. i have a lot of crazy things going on in my life and
some major decisions to make and your book gave me some incredible
insight... or it helped me look past the pile of junk that is
in front of me and see the beautiful pasture beyond..."
-Marc, age 27, professional DJ and music artist.
"Nick! I keep exclaiming your name as i read. i am erupting
in mountainous laughter and rolling in tears (not boo-hoo tears,
but womanly tears). I'm not kidding, i've read the book's first
79 pages in the last 48 hours, in two incredible sittings. you
speak to me. How could i stop at page 79? I/ll have you recall
how it goes on page 79. Yes, the vibrancy of the perfect page
79 was the last one i could afford to print... but i'm hot on
the mission for more. MORE! MORE! MORE!!!!!! I am in a mock-reality-realm
until then where the most important, the only thing my survival
instincts are driven to ....is page 80. Got.. to... Get...to...page...
8...E...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
